A new story
Your piece comes back stitched and pressed, with the leftover saree folded in beside it.
We read the saree before we cut it
Every saree is woven to a plan: a body, a border and a pallu. We plan the cut so each part lands where it will be seen.
The body
The main cloth. It becomes the kurta, the dress, the skirt panels.
The border
Runs along both long edges. It goes where the eye goes: necklines, hems, cuffs and yokes.
The pallu
About 1 m at one end, and usually the richest part. A front panel, a yoke, or a dupatta to match.
A standard saree is about 5.5 m long and 1.1 m wide. That is usually enough for a kurta and trousers, a full dress, or two or three children's outfits. We confirm once we have seen your saree.
Customised for you
What we make

Questions, Answered
How much does it cost?
It starts from ₹1299 and depends on the design and the work in it. You get the exact price with the plan, before anything is cut.
My saree is old, torn or stained. Can you still use it?
Usually, yes. Send close-up photos of the marks. Old silk can be fragile, so we may suggest a lining, or using the border and pallu as panels on a new base cloth.
Can I send more than one saree?
Yes. Two sarees can become one piece, with the body of one and the border of the other. One saree can also become outfits for a mother and a child.
What happens to the leftover cloth?
It comes back to you, folded in beside your piece. Nothing from your saree is kept or thrown away.
How long does it take?
Most pieces take [4 to 6 weeks] from when the saree reaches us. Tell us your date in the form and we will say honestly if we can make it.
How do I send the saree?
Once you approve the plan, we send you our courier address. In [CITY] you can also drop it at the studio.
